Gentle Yoga - Therapeutic Movement
Fridays 1:00pm - 2:00pm​

 

Who it’s for

This program is designed for individuals living with cancer - during treatment, post-treatment, or managing long-term effects—as well as caregivers who are supporting a loved one. Classes are accessible, supportive, and adaptable to a wide range of energy levels, abilities, and physical needs.

Gentle yoga

Sessions include slow, mindful movement, breath awareness, and periods of guided relaxation to support mobility, ease tension, and encourage deep rest.

​

Emotional and physical support

Classes offer a calm, nurturing environment that supports both physical and emotional well-being, helping participants and caregivers feel grounded, supported, and less alone.

Softening into Stillness - Guided Relaxation

Tuesdays 11:00am - 12:00pm

 

Relax the Body. Ease the mind.

Compassionate and supportive mobility and restorative program for those with lived cancer experience, no matter where you are on your journey (treatment, post-treatment, survivorship, etc).

 

What to Expect

  • Gentle movement that nurtures mobility

  • Relaxation and meditation practices

  • Reduce common negative side effects of cancer

  • Enhances overall sense of calm and balance

Yoga and Guided Relaxation Sessions

4, 6, and 8-week series

Sessions are offered in flexible series options, allowing participants to choose a commitment level that best suits their schedule, energy, and needs. Each series builds gradually, with continuity and consistency to support progress, comfort, and confidence.

Individual modifications

All classes include thoughtful modifications and options to ensure movements are accessible and safe. Poses can be adapted for the chair or floor, with an emphasis on listening to the body and honouring personal limits.

Chronic pain & mobility support

Classes are especially supportive for those living with chronic pain, stiffness, limited mobility, or recovering from injury or illness. Gentle, mindful movement helps maintain mobility, reduce tension, and support overall well-being without strain.

Therapeutic environment

Sessions are held in a calm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space designed to support relaxation and nervous system regulation. The focus is on comfort, safety, and rest—offering a therapeutic experience rather than a traditional fitness-based class.​​

Longer classes for days when you have more time and

energy, offering deeper relaxation, extended movement, and a chance to fully unwind and restore.

Soothing practices that help release tension, calm the

nervous system, and promote mental clarity, rest, and emotional balance.

Classes are designed to be accessible, adaptable, and non-intimidating, allowing you to move at your own pace and honour your body’s needs.
