about zen vibe

Meet Darlene Mapp

Yoga & Guided Relaxation Teacher | Registered Massage Therapist

Darlene Mapp brings together decades of experience in massage therapy, yoga, guided relaxation, and fitness, with a deep commitment to supporting women in caring for their bodies and nervous systems. Her journey with yoga began as a teenager and evolved naturally alongside her massage therapy practice, where she began working closely with women living with cancer and other complex health challenges. This work shaped her teaching path and continues to inform everything she offers today.

Darlene’s approach is gentle, mindful, and intentionally accessible. Her classes are not about pushing, striving, or achieving a “perfect” pose. Instead, they focus on safety, awareness, and creating space for the body to soften and the mind to settle. She believes rest is not a luxury, but an essential part of healing and wellbeing—especially for women who have spent years doing, caring, and putting themselves last.

Accessibility is at the heart of Darlene’s work. She is passionate about meeting people exactly where they are, honouring physical limitations, health conditions, energy levels, and lived experiences. Whether someone is navigating chronic pain, recovery, stress, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves, Darlene offers a supportive environment where participants can move gently, breathe deeply, and feel truly held.

Above all, Darlene believes yoga and guided relaxation should feel welcoming, inclusive, and nourishing—offering a place to slow down, reconnect, and rest in a way that feels sustainable and kind.

the zen vibe approach

A Gentle, Accessible Approach to Yoga & Relaxation

The zen vibe approach is gentle, inclusive, and deeply supportive. Classes are designed to honour the whole person, with an emphasis on safety, accessibility, and nervous-system regulation. Through mindful movement, breath awareness, and guided relaxation, zen vibe creates space to slow down, release tension, and reconnect—without pressure, performance, or expectation. This is an invitation to rest, restore, and care for yourself in a way that feels nourishing and sustainable.

Who I Work With

I work with women — often in midlife and beyond — who have spent years caring for others while quietly carrying the weight of stress, health challenges, physical limitations, or recovery from illness. Many arrive feeling tired, disconnected, or unsure where they fit in traditional yoga spaces. My classes are for women who need a softer place to land, where they can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with themselves through gentle movement, breath, and rest — sometimes for the first time in a long while.
